Tennessee Emergency Drivers’ Training Law
“Vanessa K. Free Emergency Services Training Act”
Effective January 1, 2006 every emergency service responder will be required to take an annual driver training class that meets the requirements of the new law.
This includes all Fire, Rescue, EMS, and Law Enforcement!
Annual Emergency Driver’s Training
June 4th
The class will be held at the Woodbury City Police Department
June 4th - The class will start promptly at 1830 and last until approximately 2200.
No pre-registration required.
In county responders – the program fees will be paid for by the County and/or City.
Certificates and 0.3 CEU’s will be provided by the
Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads.
EVOC Emergency Vehicle Operations Course EVOC training will be conducted in conjunction with the VFK Training. June 4th & 5th The classroom portion of the class will be held at the Woodbury City Police Department June 4th - Must attend VFK training to complete EVOC. The class will start promptly at 18:30 and last until 21:30. June 5th – Driver testing will start promptly at 08:00 and last until finished. No pre-registration required. In county responders – the program fees will be paid for by the County and/or City. Certificates and 1.0 CEU’s will be provided by the Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads. Program Host: Cannon County Rescue Squad, Inc. NOTE: If you are taking EVOC for the first time, or if you are re-certifying in EVOC, you must attend all classroom training and the driver’s testing in order to receive a certificate. “Vanessa K.
